Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities has today issued a new investor note in which he offers up additional details on this year’s iPhone refresh. This time, Kuo says the 6.1-inch LCD iPhone introduced this year could feature support for dual-SIM technology and be priced as low as $550… Kuo’s note explains that the 6.1-inch LCD iPhone could be available in two models: one with a standard single SIM setup and another with dual SIM dual standby, which could mean having two physical SIM card slots and no eSIM support....

The company cites two reasons for the forecast. First, that the wearable device market is still a fledgling one, not yet mature in terms of behaviour. But KGI’s Ming-Chi Kuo also believes the Watch itself falls short … Kuo argues that the device lacks killer applications as yet, and the form factor has room for improvement. He also believes that the limited battery life and reliance on the iPhone for functionality are holding back demand....

In the latest sales forecast from KGI securities, Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo expects a number of factors to contribute to initial slow sales of Apple’s thin new 12-inch MacBook w/Retina display. The analyst with an excellent track record believes that “higher price and concerns about the model having only one USB-C I/O, a potential inconvenience, along with supply chain constraints” will keep unit numbers at around 450K units leading up to Apple’s WWDC in June....

The update comes with two version numbers: 0.33 for Android 1.30 for iOS. According to the official changelog, the game will nag you if it perceives that you’re driving while playing. You can also now change your nickname if you don’t like it, though you only get to do it once. The update also includes at test of a new “Nearby kemon” feature with a small group of users. A few players were able to spot the feature post screenshots, which shows you what creatures may be nearby....

Kuo says Apple’s product will feature ‘excellent’ sound with seven tweeters and a subwoofer, and will be positioned as a more premium product than the Echo … with a higher price tag to match. KGI’s report is not definitive about the launch timeline. It says that they believe Apple has a more than 50% chance of announcing the Siri Speaker product in June. This leaves some wiggle room in case plans change or the launch is pushed back....

A new investor note is out today from Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities. In the note, Kuo explains that it’s likely Apple “won’t repeat” the supply and production struggles it experienced with the iPhone X with the new 2018 iPhone models… Kuo writes that shipments of the 2018 iPhone models will arrive on time and in stable supply during late Q3 of 2018. He says there will be “no major spec upgrade” of the TrueDepth camera that helps power the Face ID biometric technology, with Apple using the same dot projector and infrared camera....

A new report from KGI predicts that all new iPhone models introduced in 2017 will feature wireless charging, on both the redesigned iPhone 8 and the iterative iPhone 7 devices expected to debut in the fall. KGI has mentioned the addition of wireless charging previously. Today’s report reaffirms it will be available on all three new models after some reports to the contrary, not merely limited to the premium OLED device....

Kickfolio, a service that allows developers to offer demos of their iOS apps directly in the browser using an HTML5-based platform, today announced it is now allowing devs to embed their iOS apps directly in the Facebook news feed. The news comes as the company raises over $1 million in seed funding and changes its ‘Kickfolio’ branding to a more suitable “App.io”. We’ve told you about the service before, which allows devs to embed playable HTML5 demos of their iOS apps directly on webpages and press releases for as little as $9 a month....

It was later integrated with Metasploit and called Karmetasploit, so when a victim connects to the fake AP, karmetasploit launches all the suitable attacks available in the Metasploit framework against the vicitm. KGI this morning is out with a new investor note touching on iPhone X demand through the 2017 holiday quarter. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo also notes the negative impact the iPhone X will have on demand for the iPhone 8, which he anticipates will sell worse than originally expected… Kuo explains that iPhone X production will hit between 25 million and 27 million units during the holiday quarter, with sell through between 22 million and 24 million....
