just made the best a little bit better with the release of version 5.1. eviously, this version was only seen in the Android N preview. The new keyboard adds support for colored keyboard themes, so you’re not stuck with that boring white/grey combination. It also adds support for the Unicode 9 emoji, including skin tones, but you’ll need to be running Android N to see those. Keyboard 5.1 is rolling out now in the ay Store, but if you just can’t wait for it to hit your device, you can grab it from AMirror....

Reliable Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo at KGI Securities has today published a new research note in which he has some not-so-good predictions for how Apple will fare in the smartphone market during 2016. Kuo predicts that Apple, under the “worst case scenario,” could see iPhone shipments in 2016 lower than what it saw in 2014. Furthermore, Kuo anticipates that Apple will be the only top-five smartphone brand to see a decline in shipments year over year....

A new report from KGI’s Ming-Chi Kuo sheds some interesting light on the iWatch specifications. Kuo believes the iWatch will feature 8 GB of internal storage, with 512 MB of RAM. Naturally, these stats are lower than current iOS devices (which have upwards of 16 GB of storage and 1 GB of RAM), but still seems high for a wearable smartwatch. This may suggest the device can act more independently from an iPhone than most assume....

In a blog post to cap off an almost two year saga, Ledger Donjon head of security research Jean-Baptiste Bédrune showed KPM was doing just that. “Kaspersky Password Manager used a complex method to generate its passwords. This method aimed to create passwords hard to break for standard password crackers. However, such method lowers the strength of the generated passwords against dedicated tools,” Bédrune wrote. One of the techniques used by KPM was to make letters that are not often used appear more frequently, which Bédrune said was probably an attempt to trick password cracking tools....

Now, Broadpoint AmTech analyst Brian Marshall expects Apple will reach an iPhone deal with Verizon next year. “While Apple started off with exclusive arrangements in 2007 with the original iPhone launch, the company has since migrated towards multiple carriers per region,” the analyst wrote, as reported by MacObserver. “In our view, diverse carrier support is a key element to driving global penetration of the iPhone. Under no choice but to protect its trademarks, Apple is forcing them to stop with heavy threats.
